Initial Concept

Premise:

On his way into the capitol, a traveler becomes stranded in a small town several miles out.  When he visits the town's emergency room to treat a wounded hand, he crosses paths with a kind nurse and finds himself at the very center of a deadly zombie virus outbreak.  Together, the traveler and his new nurse acquaintance scramble to survive, rescuing friends and family members along the way.

As the disaster worsens and the city services shut down, the small group finds themselves struggling to survive.  Scarce resources and hostile competing survivors add to the horror of the outbreak.  As details are revealed about the source of the catastrophe, this small group of survivors find themselves heading straight into the overrun capitol city center to discover the truth behind the outbreak and try to save humanity.
